Weather The islands experience two main seasons
The trade wind season, ideal for kitesurfers, is from May-June to September-October, while the calmer doldrum season is from November to May. With an average annual rainfall of 2000mm, most days on Cocos Keeling Islands are sunny and warm. It’s a special experience to see the rain though and is the perfect time to jump in the balmy ocean.
You can expect less rain and wind during the doldrums, especially between December and January. Higher rainfall typically occurs from March to July.
